June is Move Your Butt to beat Bowel Cancer, and Apollo are going to be CLIMBING MOUNT COOK!
Well not actually, but we will be climbing the height of Mount Cook (3724 metres) on our stair machine!
Apollos vision is to provide the wider community with the tools and knowledge to live a stronger, healthier lifestyle, both physically and mentally, and we believe Move Your Butt is a great cause we can get behind. Not only that, during June alone, around 100 New Zealanders will die from bowel cancer and 250 will be diagnosed with it. It’s time we changed this!
Apollo Members: we need your help! This is a great opportunity to give back to the wider community, and we can’t do this without the help of our Apollo community! We need members to volunteer to do a 15 min period each on the stair climbers, to help us reach 3724 metres!
If you’re interested, simply register on our website and let us know what time works for you between 10am and 2pm on the 29th, and we will be in touch!
We have also created a fundraising event for anyone who would like to sponsor our event via this link, every little bit helps: https://moveyourbutt2019.everydayhero.com/nz/apollo-fitness
In addition, Apollo will be donating $5 every 100 metres we do on the stair climber, so book in now, every step counts!
Apollo will also be providing refreshments for all our hardworking members on the day, and there are awesome spot prizes to be won! What do you have to lose?
Remember: Bowel cancer is treatable – and beatable – if it’s caught early enough. Please support our Move Your Butt Challenge and help us kick bowel cancer in the butt!
See you then!
